LONDON, July 28, 2010 (Crickettomorrow.com) - West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been signed by Essex for the English county's Twenty20 finals day.

Essex qualified for the last four with victory over Lancashire on Tuesday and have moved quickly to add an overseas player to their ranks ahead of the Rose Bowl showpiece on August 14.

Bravo's short-term signing is subject to visa approval, though that should not present a problem.

Head coach Paul Grayson said: "Obviously Dwayne is a world-class all-rounder and we have lost the services of other big hitters such as Graham Napier and Ryan ten Doeschate.

"We see Dwayne as a like-for-like replacement for (former overseas player) Scott Styris. He is a top-class player and we hope he can make a major impact on finals day."

Essex will play hosts Hampshire in the first semi-final, with the winner taking on either Nottinghamshire or Somerset for the silverware.
